You need to find out whether it is XP Home, Professional or Media Centre Edition.
As well as whether it is OEM or Retail.

I don't think that will make a difference to a Repair Install.

If it is just for a repair, then I have used XP Pro (Corporate Edition) media to repair both Home & Pro (Home user Pro) versions of Windows.

OEM discs are quite easily modified to accept Retail keys anyway, and it can be done the other way around as well (making a Retail disc accept an OEM key).

Have you got access to all the Windows XP images?
I have all the images for Windows from Win 95 onwards, what do you need?

I don't need any, thanks anyway.:)
Last time I re-installed XP Professional there was something wrong with my disc. It wouldn't read. It's damaged.
So I downloaded an image from TPB and used that instead with my own key. It was OK.
