Hmm....I suppose the fact that i have had 5 natural births doesn't help matters.....re-read more about the Mooncup and I'm definately going to get one, Cheers KezzNever put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

Since I had most of my cervix removed I too bleed very heavily for the first day or two.
I have no problems at all with either Asda Freestyle range of pads or Tesco's own brand pads.
There is a mooncup thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/196357 It's very long and started 4 years ago but if you read some of the last pages other brands of menstrual cup are mentioned.
On their advice I bought a mooncup but the couple of times I have tried it, I didn't get on with it.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I find lilets or Boots own non applicator tampons are far more absorbant than tampax, I do alot of swimming and can't recall ever having an obvious leak while using either of those brands - but I do tend to use a black cossie at that time. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

:T I've been using mine for a couple of years now, I won't go back to pads. With my flow I only have to empty it once every 12 hours. Getting married 18/06/11 :beer:0 -
Lilets tampons (non applicator) and Always towels seem the most reliable, Lilets do a Super Plus Extra size which is excellent for heavy days but its not always available so you might have to hunt around, I have a mooncup and I really like it but for security I use a towel as well on the first couple of days, only a very light one but I do need it:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Definitely Lilets super plus extra they are non-applicator, but an excellent product. I've always found Lilets a more secure and even fit than any other brand.....with a pad too at night and maybe a binbag under the sheet to avoid
:o:o.
I would change them much more frequently than usual too to avoid accidents, so take plenty and change immediately you come out of the swimming pool!0 -
I too vote for lilets, they expand lenght and sideways, so less prone to leaking. Enjoy your hols!0

I have just started using lilets towels and have to say they are really good especially for night time. I have been thinking about the mooncup but it seems alot of money if I dont like it. I am not that keen on using tampons so not sure if the mooncup would be better.0

Another vote for the mooncup. :T0

I have similar problems with leaks, and recently found some new compact tampons by lil-lets in a super plus size and they were great! Much bigger and no leaks :-)From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0
