Went jogging, did shred (nearly DIED but that's another story - felt like I was going to pass out, oon solved by a banana), then showered and went out into the world, having an NSD and getting my groceries in til the end of the week

Isn't it an incredibly difficult market at the moment? and weren't you doing really really well when you started?

....so wouldn't it be fair to say it normally goes in peaks and troughs for everyone and the market is !!!!! at the moment.

Hence you think you are just doing crap at the moment but others could be about to fall into a trough or have just dragged themselves out of one.

In the meantime given the general situation and the situation for your station I think you'd be doing yourself a dis-service if you didn't apply for other jobs.....and you only need to ask them once it comes to reference time. I wouldn't bother mentioning it because I bet a few others are already looking.
