Contract phones for bad credit?

I have great credit however Vodafone hate me for some reason and always decline me.
The strange thing was, when I took out the SIM-only deal in February, I was still paying off a a £300 bill through Lowell I had run up with Vodafone three years previously (although to be fair I only had one payment left that went out about a week later) I was young and stupid then though.
That's why I'm surprised they accepted me but I've been very good with this contract - my monthly bills are usually about the £35 mark and the DD goes out and I just forget about it usually.
