I'll be in when I can....

Last week of term, and I'm on my knees. Who thought it would be a good idea to:

run a French Market jointly with Technology and

    do a greenscreen filming project

in the next to last week of term???? (thifty - weren't you complaining of the same thing?)

I'll take credit for the second of those. :oThe worst bit was making the kids actually goi in and do the film. I had an outside professional to do the filming, and my usually lovely Year 8's (except for five of them who were complete stars) dug their heels in and refused to go and be filmed. It took extreme nastiness and threats to get them in there, and then they all came out smiling and saying it was great. (Some of them are still alive...and only slightly damaged.:D:p)

Zoe - Congratulations! I wish you both every happiness. Lovely photo!

Welcome back mumto5 - did you have a great time?

Okay, must go pack my bag for tomorrow, iron a shirt, and get the washing in.....

Love and hugs especially to Lady-Liberty, Toots and Diva, but also to all my other flylady friends.

    Evening all!

I'm hoping to be a bit more 'in' this week, as work should hopefully be easing off, at least in the evenings. Thanks to everyone for keeping this thread going.

Toots - I hope your week goes well.
Zoe - congratulations and good wishes for many happy years.

I'm finishing last week off on the old thread.

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Sweep and mop the floors
    Level Two

Scrub the sink and shine the taps!
    Level Three
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean fridge and see what needs using first
    Extras
    HHI
    Clean the hob..

    My extras:
DS2's last day at childminder's on Tuesday - get him to make card and buy chocolates.
Phone nurseries to investigate after-school club

ETA I've decided to only leave the parts of the list I can realistically get done. Too depressing otherwise and - given the state of my kitchen - it's still a challenge!
  • I'll be in again! Getting in the swing now - thanks to all flyladies and especially central command for the lists! Have a good week x

So, what time are you picking her up on the 30th?

'I'm not, I'm picking her up this Friday.'

No, you're not, I'm away from the 31st until the 8th, then off again until the next Sunday night. So you're dropping her off on the Monday morning.

'Nope, we're leaving on Sunday night for our holiday, then we're back on the 7th. First two weeks of the summer holiday, you said'

I said the first two weeks of August.

    :wall:

'Oh well, I'll ask my mum to have her for the third week. It'll do her good to see her grandparents'.

[I think it would have done her more good, had you actually listened to what I sorted out with you THREE MONTHS AGO]

    :wall: :wall: :wall:

I'm in again - thanks to pigpen and Toots

3 boy baby furries are now in their own cage and mum, big sister and the 5 baby sisters are staying together. So I now have 3 cages! Will be back to 2 in a week or so when I put the baby boys in with their dad and big brother though. A colleague is having 2 of the baby girls but, at the moment, it looks as though I will be keeping the rest!

zoe - huge congratulations :T you look stunning in the photos

    Hugs to all x

    Now for a list ..................

Jojo .. WRITE IT ALL DOWN!!!! In idiot.. 'you pick up at X time on 1 date and drop off at y time on 2 date'.. KH thinks I am unreasonable asking what DATE he has booked to take these on holiday.. and even more unreasonable that I want them back so they have time to sort out school stuff.. on a weekend when he isn't meant to have them anyway!! I write EVERYTHING down.. and sometimes have doodles to go with! Mine has written instruction for everything.. and extras!! Remember.. they are only men with the thought/reasoning capacity of a button.. don't tax the brain cell!!

I have managed to get the weedkiller down so hopefully it will have a chance to work before the rain comes in the morning!

my kitchen list wont be too bad to do as i did it myself this week and gave it a good going over - except the floor and the kickboards but i will try and do them too.

Hi Ladies, I'm with you again....my third week as a fly lady and the house definately looks better for it! I'm meant to be resying after work tomorrow but I think I'll manage a HHC in the kitchen as the dining room hasn't been used so can be left alone apart from a quick dust!

This weekend has been manic! However I was at A russel Watson concert in Cleethorpes last night and shopping today in Lincoln and we managed to dodge the rain for both! OH's mum bought me a lovely dress for a wedding I'm going to in a few weeks but also helped me to declutter £100 as I needed shoes to go with it....said shoes had a matching bag that I couldn't say no to......and it's a strapless dress so I had to invest in some strapless scaffolding to go underneath! Ah well, I was expecting to have to buy my own dress and it's my last student loan payment this month so I'll survive.......JUST!
