no some called my brother a mug for helping me and that was not fair all i asked in the 1st place was if i could use my bank details i didnt ask anything else:(So really all you want is for people to reply with exactly what you want to hear?
Why don't you just go buy a dictaphone and record the answer you want, then play it back to yourself. That might make you feel better.

You may not have got the answers you were hoping for but that doesn't make them unhelpful.
Your question was:
If your brother has decent credit history and wants to take a loan out in his name using his bank details and then pass the cash on to you, that's entirely up to him (whether wise or not). It will then legally be his debt.my brother has kindly done a loan for me in his name but with my bank details but now im wondering if it will work anyone have an idea?
They won't accept it with your bank details, so no your plan as stated won't work.
That's all

what is it with the standard of spelling on the loans forum....i am not educationally gifted but Christ i can string a sentence together ..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I challenge you to find a post where someone has been "scammed" £60 by Yes Loans or the like where the post has been spelt correctly.

My posts were deleted by MSE for giving an honest opinion.
People need to be accountable for themselves but only want to hear selected answers - normally ones that give them a pat on the back for putting someone close to them into a difficult position.0 -

Don't get too worked up about it, this forum is full of 'holier than thou's" - I used to quite enjoy it, now I just see it as a minor form of entertainment. There is more back biting in this place than you get in lake full of pirahnas :rotfl:0 -
The basic fact is, under the CIFAS category system, this type of transaction is called 'fronting' by obtaining credit for someone who could not themselves get the credit facility.
Because you have stated that you could not get the credit in your own name, and instead your brother is obtaining the credit in his name, but the facility will be for you your brother is 'fronting' for you. Therefore it can be classed as a fraudulent application.
Simpler way of doing it is to do a joint application with both you and your brother. This way you build up your credit history and do not have to rely on others.
BTW - you say it's a lot of money you need - but then say it's for rent deposit - where will you be renting? a penthouse flat in mayfair perhaps? We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0 -
OP, as others have stated, it's unlikely that the loan will be accepted with your bank details instead of your brothers.
Whilst your brother is being very kind, he is also putting himself in a vulnerable position. With the best will in the world, you may not be able to keep up the repayments as planned (long term illness, for example), and as your brother is legally responsible for the loan it would be him who is chased for the money and has his credit history ruined.
We've seen it happen all too often (for many, many reasons - including someone who just doesn't want to pay it back) and so we try our best to avoid suggesting loaning money from friends or family, especially if there is another solution available.
You say this money is for a flat rental deposit. Can you not stay at a friends, or family (perhaps your helpful brother's?) member's place for a while whilst you save up the money, or build up your credit history? That would be far better for you in the long run, and for your relationship with your brother too!February wins: Theatre tickets0
