This morning I went to Asdas at 7am - picked up 4 of the Olay face creams on offer from £11.99 to £5.99, was ushered towards the dreaded self-scanners. I had to manually input the code for the olay as they would not scan through. Used 4 x £5.00 vouchers to get them for 99p each, was just processing my payment when the SA came over all flustered.
She checked the machine but I think my vouchers had dropped down into another box, anyway, she said you cannot use 4 x £5.00 vouchers today. I said why not, yesterday I was told to only use them if I bought the product so today I have returned and purchased the item.
She said it was too late this time but I could only use 3 identical vouchers in one go at the self-scanner. This is madness, I bought the items !!! but she was having none of it and was tutting to her colleague as I left the store.
Then the security alarms went off, the boxes are security tagged so off to CS to correct that, that was done. Then off again to the entrance, alarms go off again. Back to CS today and she said oh I know you've paid just run through the door so I did with the alarms going off again.
As for the Olay creams I did something very satisfying with them, I gave 2 away to people who cannot usually afford such a luxury and it was a great feeling seeing the happiness that it gave them.

If anyone want's some please pm me with your address, I'll send you some out. Would love to swap for some of the tesco H & B points vouchers. In fact any points vouchers!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

The_Old_Bag wrote:Noticed in Asda today all their Olay is half price - so day and night creams are only about £5.99.
If you offered the £5 olay voucher they might be more likely to accept it, as you are actually buying an Olay cream. It is only if you read all the small print it tells you which type of Olay.
So you could get some Olay worth £12 for 99p
Is this offer still valid and if so has anyone mananged to get some this weekend?
Is this the black boxed stuff or the pink stuff?

Thank you, all I have to do now it take the house to pieces looking for the vouchers I got last Saturday!
Does anyone else have sticky notes all over their desk after they have been catching up with MSE, one labelled "Tesco", one "Asda", one "Home and Bargain" and one "Boots"

Hi, Im a bit of a amateur in vouchers.
If I go to Sainsbury's and do my normal food shopping then do these vouchers for OTHER items enable me to get a discount on my total cost of food shopping???
Please could someone confirm as this would make my day!
Thanks! :rotfl:0 -
Superdrug have Olay regenerist face wash at 2 for a tenner so I picked 2 up with other stuff, handed over 2 vouchers to the boy at the tills who put them through, therefore I got my 2 facewashes for free!!! Couldnt beleive it!!
Might have to go back and see if I can get some more!!
Also used these vouchers in Asda last week, got Olay face wipes costing £2.00. Said to the self scan supervisor that I had bought an Olay product and he said Ok, yeah, fine! So got another £3 worth of shopping free plus the face wipes!
Finally used one in Waitrose tonight no bother, plus other coupons, £30 shop for £18!!You can if you think you can!0 -

MaryVery pleased about this - it will get me in my mum's good books
Didn't occur to me to look for the £2 Olay wipes though0 -
Managed to get a few of these Friday lunchtime. Went to ASDA Fri night (thought i'd pick a busy time). Managed to put 3 through on the self scanners unchallenged without buying any olay products. Great £15 discount on shopping.
Will be trying again for next 3 weeks until they expire. If it works it will be a cheap shopping month. Thanks OP!0
