Wasn't done any sooner because I didn't have the phone and thus couldn't do the impossible, BUT anyway it doesn't work, tells me it's not allowed.
Any pointers or suggestions?

it depends on what firmware ur samsung D500 has got on it the older firmware will get unlocked by this code but if u got the newer firmware then the code wont work
*#1234# tells u what firmware u got
D500XCDL1
D500XCDL2
D500XEDL4 lastest 3 firmwares
*#8999*8378# tells u when ur phone was made etc etc
D500XADL1 >if u got this firmware and u find it freezs up full of bugs u should get it upgraded0 -
