Anyone know where I can do it? Can't seem to find anyone online or will I be able to do it for free?

    Not tried it yet, will let you know once I've done it. Did find someone on the net that charges £3.50 which isn't too bad.

    How longs it take you to key 7 numbers/symbols in?
    It would have taken you less time to key them in than to post that you haven't done it yet

    That code does work but it performs a full factory reset, so you lose all your WAP/GPRS settings! Write them down before using the code!

    Wasn't done any sooner because I didn't have the phone and thus couldn't do the impossible, BUT anyway it doesn't work, tells me it's not allowed.

    Any pointers or suggestions?

    it depends on what firmware ur samsung D500 has got on it the older firmware will get unlocked by this code but if u got the newer firmware then the code wont work

    *#1234# tells u what firmware u got

    D500XCDL1
    D500XCDL2
    D500XEDL4     lastest 3 firmwares

    *#8999*8378# tells u when ur phone was made etc etc

    D500XADL1 >if u got this firmware and u find it freezs up full of bugs u should get it upgraded

    Bless BT, they send their D500 without any SIM lock...lovely phone as well :-)
