Hi Cookie
The Pulse is the cheapest Android phone I've seen! The problem is that it ties you in to a 24 month contract, which isn't great.
You can buy the phone on PAYG for £150 and that includes everything you need for the Sat Nav, as does the £15 contract you've suggested. They do a £10 monthly tariff that gives you 100 minutes and 100 texts plus the free internet, but here's the comparison over 24 months:
PAYG
£150 up front
£240 for line rental
£390 total
Contract
£000 up front
£360 for line rental
£360 total
So it's cheaper with more minutes and texts on contract, but you do get stuck with the phone for a full 2 years.
I think it would be worth someone who knows something about Android to look at the phone and see what issues you are likely to have when the new OS is released. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
The Pulse Mini is £100 on PAYG from Argos on T-Mobile. You get 6 months unlimited internet (FUP).
I've already used 3 Gbs in 18 days (on the phone and some tethering) so my downloading is limited between 4pm and midnight but fine at all other hours.
It's not the best phone - poor screen, audio player, camera - but the 2.1 android experience is great. I'm just going to wear it out before looking at a Samsung or HTC, maybe a Sony.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

The zte racer is also only £100 on PAYG, available from 3, and also going to be sold by Argos.====0
