A bit like THIS ONE?0

Like that but that one is not suitable for the TM 4064 range.0

Not able to help specifically, but just to say that my search for a cheaper alternative to a Dell brand adaptor for my Dell laptop proved fruitless and I realised that getting one from the manufacturer was the best deal....0

I looked at Acer site but couldn't find anything about buying.0

Thank you!!!! I did look at that site but couldn't find the right one.
Don't think they sell the power cable though, ideally I was wanting to get both from one place, save paying to postage charges but might have to.0 -
I e-mailed Acer and asked them for the manufacturers codes for the adapter and cable, thought if I had the codes it would help me find the right ones.
The replied very quickly but it would have been nice if they bothered to read the e-mail properly, their response was "it sounds like your laptop will need to come in for repair", NO my laptop is fine, I just wish a new adapter and cable!!! :mad:0 -
I have an Acer Aspire 5622 WMLMi that is about four months old and the power supply keeps cutting out. If the laptop is on, it will last about 5 seconds and if it is not (and it's just charging the battery) it will last 5 to 10 minutes. I want to proove that it is the power supply but the ones I can lay my hands on are different voltages.SMC wrote:The replied very quickly but it would have been nice if they bothered to read the e-mail properly, their response was "it sounds like your laptop will need to come in for repair", NO my laptop is fine, I just wish a new adapter and cable!!!
The one that comes with the laptop is 19V 4.74A. If it is the power supply then I want to send that back only, but I await to see if Acer get funny about doing that, as is SMC's experience.0 -
If you connect a 5 ohm resistor across the PSU it should draw approx 3.8 Amps and put the PSU under load. Measure the voltage across the resistor to check the PSU. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Mine is a 19V 3.42A.
Acer have now replied so that is good. They gave me the e-mail address for spares so have e-mailed it and shall see what response I get.0
