Procleanse Gold scam!

Be warned! Like a fool I was taken in by this "free trial" where you sign up for 14 days supply of pills intended to help you lose weight (yes I know). I did not get the trail pack, but my debt card was charged for the p+p. About a fortnight later my card was charged again, this time for £74.50 for the "first months supply". When I rang and emailed the company they said send it back and we will close the account and refund you, but as they ahd already sent it they could not stop delivery. Two days later a pack of the pills arrived and I sent them back to their registered office by recorded delivery on the 7/7/2010. The very same day two more bottles of pills arrived and I found my carge had been charged another £79.99! I again rang the company and they told me to return the pills to an address in Dartford (not the company address on Companies house) which I did on the 8/7/2010.
So far the Royal mail website shows that the first package has been received but that the second is still in the system. I have tried to contact the company by email (bounces), by phone (no answer) and their website is now down. I expect that they have shut their office in Dartford (it is rented space) and parcels are not being collected from the post office.
Today I managed to open a live chat window using a cached version of the web page and talked to a operative who promised me that the company is solvent and would provide a refund of the £154 as soon as the second package was received! I said I wanted a refund on the first or both before the 24th or I would issue a small claims action.
To date I am about £160 out of pocket with little chance of getting it back! I would say beware of this company and a company called Cho-Yung tea, as I beleive they are the same. I have already changed my debit card and raised this as a fraudulent transaction with my bank (Halifax) who seem to think it is not fraud as I gave the the card numbers!

I know its late but I suggets yous earch for things like this before signing up there are loads of threads on here and around the WWW about them and similar like acai etc0

^ Indeed. It's weird how people still get scammed by stuff like this even though it'd take about 5 seconds to Google the name of the product and find out it's a scam.0

I did do some (very limited) research and was taken in by the "14 day trial" and felt I could cancel before being charged any more. The research I did on Google did not pick up any real negative vibes, only people questioning whether or not it actually worked. And yes I do consider myself fairly savvy, and I am extremely embarrased about this:embarasse0

Just had an Email from both Procleanse and Cho-Yung, telling me about there new improved website and their new "customer service centre"! Seems their registered office is still in Bromsgrove, so I know where to send the County Court claim to!0

i too was victim of this scam, but i am only £77.42 out of pocket.
i actually cancelled my account 2days after recieving the first product from them but still they managed to ignore my many emails and send me another packet.
i returned this packet to the address in dartford and forgot about it all as the online chat lady said i should recive my money in 7-10 days, but the post office has lost the parcel!
only as i insured my parcel i should be able to claim back some of the money from that , however i cant remember the address and now i cant fill out the form!
it seems after all this it is still a nightmare!
is there a way to reclaim this from the company? as it seems that it is not the post office's fault, if what you said that the address was not correct??0 -
Got an email from them today saying that they had recieved the first package and would refund me £74.50, in 7-10 business days! I also rang Regus House (the Dartford company where they told me to send the 2nd package back to). This is a service company who only provide a mailing address for Procleanse, but they did say that Procleanse still use them and the address is still good. If you have insured the parcel you will only get the maximum compensation from the PO (about £39 I think). The Dartford address is Regus House Victory Way Admirals Park, Dartford, Kent DA2 6QD. The registered address for the company on Companies House is in Bromsgrove.
I have emailed them back saying I don't think it should take 7-10 days and may well fill in the Small Claims paperwork anyway, as it only costs £15 to lodge the claim, and I can put that in the moment I think they are unlikely to pay the refund.0 -
Hi Steve..
Well me too but they refuse to refund me as they say that the 30 days refund is passed which is absolutely rubbish.. I sent it back within 2 weeks.. all because their phone number was not working and website same.. if it can helps I was able to email on help@mypcgsupport.com and got a response from Patricia Jones (Value Pricing Distributors Ltd.) .. I am fighting to get my money back.
Also Cho Yung tea owe me £180 as they kept on taking the money from my bank without sending me any teas! Hope they will.. any bright idea on how I can get this money back from ProCleanse Gold...0 -
Just read your post ..thanks so much .. I will and finger crossed I will get the money back !0
