Kantankrus_Mare wrote:ok I,ve recently got new laminate flooring in my through room downstairs and have just bought a turbo go duster to initially collect all the dust and a flash turbo mop to do wet mopping. (Impressed with both!)
When the flash is all gone can I fill it up with this amazing stardrops stuff or do I have to dilute it?
Also whats the cheapest way of replacing the static dusters? Looked on the tesco site and saw some pledge static dusters ......40 for 3 pound something... can't remember exactly? Thinking I may get through quite a few as Ive noticed how soon the floor gets dusty!!
Hi Guys - I use it for everything nearly.
Yes, you can refill it with Stardrops. It's probably best to dilute it, though not too much as a little goes a long way. Does my laminate floor well.
As for windows and stardrops, I think you may have used too much. Did you dilute it?If it's stain/grease removal/carpet cleaning (test first) duties that you need it for, use a little on a damp sponge and add a little more as needed. For general cleaning, use it diluted to your own preference. For laundry, use it neat.
Environmentally friendly? Hmmm...
Can't honestly say I know truthfully. But I look at it like this: I'm not buying heavy duty chemical products (especially for ovens _pale_!) for each separate house duty. You don't even have to wear rubber gloves with it (I'm allergic) so that's a green point in its favour too. Also, as it says you can do the washing up with it, I wouldn't have thought it would be too bad. It will even remove tough stains if you use it as a laundry liquid in your machine. I don't know if this helps.
It's good to see another 3 converts to stardrops. It's a very versatile product and well under £1. And no, I don't have shares/work for the company/date the company chairman!:rotfl: Good luck with it guys - spread the word.

Found it in Wilko's for 58p :T
Is there anything I can't use it on? We have stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, will it be ok to use on these?

I have fallen in love with it!!
Got the tough stains out of my SS pans that Astonish wouldn't budge.
Even DH commented on how clean the bathroom is!
I found it removed limescale easily.
Rinses off easily too, which is always good in my opnion."Finish each day And be done with it.

tawnyowls wrote:When in doubt, hit the pound shops! If you can't find a plant spray bottle there, then buy one of the nice big bottles of Astonish cleaner (which work quite well, so you won't be wasting money), put it into a normal bottle, so you can just tip it out onto a sponge to use up, and use the bottle for Stardrops. I suggest the bathroom spray (blue stuff) only because most people seem to find that Stardrops doesn't clean limescale off showers etc all that well, so that means you can use your Astonish on the bathroom and Stardrops everywhere else. Only problem with the bathroom spray bottle is it has a bit of mesh over the spray hole, which will generate tons of suds with Stardrops, so just use a tweezers to pull it off.
What is Astonish and what do you use it for?You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:

Hi npsmama
You can definately use it for laundry hun. Just add it in instead of detergent. No chemical smells either - honestly. See my post on page 1 on this thread...
As I said before, it'll do everything except take you out to dinner and dancing - hey, if you go into your store and buy it, you could go to the checkout with the cutest guy/girl! Wow - it really would work miracles then!!!:rotfl:
Best wishes,

Even if it doesn't clean any better (and thus presumably no worse), I would have said the price is still a consideration - at 58p, I get litres of solution for less than I'd pay for 1 litre of most other household cleaners.
How are you using it? Perhaps you're not using a sufficient amount, or trying to clean too soon after it? I find you need about a capful/litre, and it works best (as most cleaners do) if you spray it on, wait a few minutes for it to start working and then clean it off.Mics_chick wrote:What is Astonish and what do you use it for?
It's just another range of cleaners - available from Lakeland at stupid prices, or from the pound shops at far better ones! I used to use the No-rinse floor cleaner, antibacterial spray and bin freshener, but I've replaced those with Stardrops and Zoflora. I still find that their anti-limescale bathroom spray is better than Stardrops (but other people find Stardrops very good in bathrooms), and it's so much less nasty than Cillit Bang (cough, choke). I also find their scouring paste very good for really awful things like oven shelves, and their liquid silver cleaner is brilliant.0
