Help with flights to Bali please?

Hello All,
I'm looking to fly out to Bali at the end of november and stay for a few weeks returning early to mid january.
I've done the trawl of travel sites and the best i can find so far is 550 with China Airlines, but that has a layover in Taipei that's in double figures which i don't want.
Does anyone out there have any tips or ideas or know of any great deals or upcoming sales?

Also a second question if that's allowed, flying from DPS to MELBOURNE i found a flight i thought was 90 pounds but haven't found it since. Is that a fantasy price for that route??

Thanks in advance for any help.

You could try a flight to Kuala Lumpur and then on to Bali with https://www.airasia.com

£550 is very good for Bali. You will struggle to get under £500. Remember you are flying a long way.

Try Qatar Airlines (who don't fly daily) as they get some good deals. Or look at flights to KL and Air Asia from there (but do not connect from an Air Asia to a scheduled airline).

There are tonnes of cheap flights to Oz from Bali. Virgin Blue do the route, as do Jetstar Asia. You might find Garuda being cheap, but i'm not sure you can book international GA flights online. Possibly Indonesian Air Asia as well, shouldn't need to fly via KL.

Finally, are you aware it's rainy season in that part of Indo. You won't get a huge monsoon though. I've been there for Xmas / NY and it was lovely, but if you're divers / snorkelling, be aware.

Air Asia all the way. Stansted to KL LCCT then KL LCCT to Bali. Want makan? Must pay extra.

Or, like me to could fly to Jakarta tomorrow from Singapore, then get the train to Surabaya and the bus to Denpasaar then jump a taxi to Kuta.

    Thanks guys for your answers!
I did look into seperate tickets before but am wary of it due to not being covered should one of them be late whereas if i'm booked through then they'll sort me right?
I had a quick play with dates on AirAsia but looking like it'll 550-ish like the China Airlines fare right through. If i can do it without the long wait between flights i may just go for that option.

MONCHILD: I was hoping for something resembling the sale like Singapore Airlines had last year, enabling me to fly return to Melbourne for the fantastic price of 405, but seems nothing doing this year. Thanks for the extra info, appreciated.

JAMMIN: Thanks for that but i have no idea what you mean by "Want makan? Must pay extra"???

Jammin is inferring that you will have to pay for food on your flights - makan is the Malaysian word for "eat".

    Just a price update.
Got an e-mail from Trip Advisor and return to Bali can be had in October for 514 departing 10th and returning 24th.
Haven't looked into dates too much as it's a little early for me but may help someone.
