Gap are good for people just starting out with MSing because you can make mistakes and the money lost isn't usually significant, then if/when they sack you you've already got the experience and hopefully won't be relying on them too much for actual work and money.
However personally I've given bad reports on many occasions and have not yet been sacked. However I think it is important to also include some positives amongst the negatives. Usually it isn't all bad.
Agreed, I found that when I lived back home I was doing fewer and fewer gap jobs simply because I was picking them up from other companies and the gap ones weren't worth my time. Now I've moved I've found I have alot of gap jobs simply to get me out and about while I get to know the area - they have enough clients that today I have three gap jobs in my local town I can't remember the last time I did more than 1 at a time back home. But am happy to reschedule around any more lucrative work I get offered, but I'm not applying for as many of the higher paid jobs that I would have done at home simply because many of them aren't in places I'm 100% sure about yet and I can't afford to fluff up those ones either financially or simply in terms of maintaining my reputation with the companies involved.
Actually it rather scares me that this month and probably next gyp and RE are my best earners....:eek:It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I only did a couple of jobs for gap because there don't seem to be many in my area and I wasn't interested in the burger ones. At the beginning I did a lot for RE and ESA and they are still my "bread and butter" if there is nothing else available0 -

I've just started doing burgers because there are so blummin many of the places I'm reasonably confident of being able to find them fairly easily, but I don't think I'll do many once I know my way around. TBH at the moment I'm doing far too many junk food jobs but it's saving me from having to go shopping and use the kitchen in the house when the family I'm lodging with might be in there. Such a wuss, lol. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I've never done petrol & that company annoy me by not having the brief to read in advance so can I just check something, please. Do you get reimbursed for the items you have to buy or does it come out of the fee?
I've looked at their red shop in the past and to me, the fee never seems to justify the work but I know a lot of people like them. Any illumination welcome.
Also thanks to the people who contacted me about the reassigned job, much appreciated and very nice to talk to you all. We should have a local meet up!0 -

:rotfl:too many junk food jobs might begin to show results after a while :rotfl:
Have you moved away from home to a completely new area? i suppose it will take time to get to know your way around. Do you drive around or are you on foot?0 -
With ABAi the fee is the total you'll receive for completing the job. I find that for the work involved they're well worth the effort. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I've just googled it and it's Corporate Research International. I never got past the test stage and gave up on it after about half an hour!!0 -
What did you do wrong for them to keep sacking you from various jobs?!?Miss_Qwerty wrote: »Did anyone see the Supermarket on ESA? Looks like it's a dummy one at the moment but even so it's still very interesting. Maybe the contract is up for renewal or something...
And is it REALLY necessary to post an alert on the alerts thread saying there are still plenty of underground jobs on there? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
