Are you supposed to sign in? I just went to the customer services and said 'I'm gonna take some photos' and they just nodded and off I went

One of my stores took me "through the back" and I had to sign in there, the other one just told me to carry on..

Well I was on my way to a phone shop job and my car starts playing up so I am driving really slowly conscious of the time I needed to be there. So anyway I got to where I thought it was after looking on the map and nothing there, so I drive further on- nothing. Parked up and looked on my phone map definitely not where it says it is. I have come home and looked on the phone companies website and they don't have a store at that address??? I have phoned GFK and left a message to say I wasn't going to be able to do the assignment because of car trouble now I also have another reason, has anyone ever had an issue with this before with addresses???

If you are doing an overt audit of any sort you should always use the staff/visitors entrance (if there is one, sometimes it's at customer services) and sign in. If the manager catches you without a visitors badge on working in their store you will be in trouble! If I am signing in, I just do it and unless they ask me what I am there for, I just head into the store and get on with it. Some stores will check with the manager before they let you take photos though.

With both of mine, they sent me through to the staff reception and I had to sign in and get a visitor badge. One of the stores has a big notice now that says no reps thursday thru monday! Thats another reason I do it covert! I like to just fit it in when I am passing the stores.

Does anyone else think that the ESA clothes shop is a lot of work for not much money? Assessing 4 dept plus 2 purchases, bit much really. Didn't the fees for this store used to be higher? I did a couple a while back and although it was through Mystery Outsource, the fee was 25% more!

I'm new to ESA. I have seen the pharmacies they have on at the moment. It sounds a bit complex with the 3 part enquiry pallarva. Has someone done these before? What are they like? Cheers my dears.

I haven't done any but won't be either. You are not wrong, it does look a right palava!
  • Thank you...

One more question and I promise that is me for the night :rotfl:

As I used my camera the photos are really high quality - 1.5 to 2M each, I assume I should reduce them before uploading them but do they have any minimum or maximum size?

    Thanks

They used to tell us that it was best to have them under 1MB but not sure if that still applies. It may just take longer to upload that's all.

Oh pooh. Was hoping it would be easy. They have 4 which are very close to me, but after reading the brief, it's put me off a bit. Go in, come out, go in. Too much for my liking. LOL. Oh well.

They're not too bad. If there is nobody there to "interview" you can miss that bit out. Once you reveal yourself for the last part, staff are usually helpful and will point everything out for you so it only takes a few minutes.

Take one and see what you think. That's the best way of deciding if jobs are for you or not.

I thought it was a lot of work for the fee. If you've doubled up and got both parts of a store, it saves travelling time and works out better value.
Here I go again on my own....

On the questionaire it says 'soft drink'. Apparently Irn Bru, despite being a soft drink for meal purposes isn't a soft drink. Think I confused an aussie, and they do hate that.

omg as if you can get iron bru there! :D
