There's a job just appeared, but I'm not sure whether it's so good a job that it's wasted on the Alerts thread and I might be selfish and snap it up for myself... Hotel in Cyprus by July 4th, anyone? :D

yeah, saw that. wasnt going back after it was closed the first time. waiting to see if i get paid anything for the visit.

Gyp arent my favourite company at the moment. My peebles visit got rejected because i spent under the reimbursement in the shop. My bar of chocolate was on offer and i only found out after it was rung up. Looks like they're still using my report though as i never saw the site come up again for a revisit. Have taken real delight in turning down 3 phone calls from them trying to cover urgent jobs.

Really??? I never spend the 1.00 and I always get it the report through... geez thats Gyp for ya.!

How much under did that make you? I had one the other day when I was a penny under (my fault, doing a visit at the end of the day).

Is this the better paid of the Gyp fuel shops?

If so, I'd never spent over the reimbursement, and not had any problems. I only noticed the other day when I re-read the brief and saw that it said "a minimum of £x", so I spent just over the reimbursement, and will continue to do so, just in case ;)

Now, I'm wondering whether I need to spend anything in the shop on the loss-making Gyp fuel shop? I could've sworn that I did, but I can't seem to see anything in the notes telling me that I have to. Anyone?

Cripes, I hope I don't have to spend anything on the loss-making fuel shops...just looked at my receipt from one I did yesterday, and she's only given me a receipt for the fuel, not for my purchase as well as the fuel. Oh dear.

No purchase needed on the loss making ones. It's a recent change to make the purchase a "minimum" on the other one.

I'm banned now from the loss making fuel jobs - but DH still does them and, so far as I am aware, you only have to spend the reimbursement plus your own 'top up' on fuel. There is no requirement to buy anything else in the shop - although I seem to remember there is a question on the report which asks if yu were offered anything else.

The better paid fuel jobs where Gap reimburse the whole 'spend' do specifically state 'minimum purchase' so you are taking a chance if you spend less. Gap will sometimes let it through but you certainly can't rely on it!

    Thanks both.

No surprise that the change to the other fuel jobs to make it a "minimum of £x" purchase is recent...it's not like me to miss something like that! ;)

Yes, I had that, and queried it at the time, they s aid the 'vat' receipt is for the fuel. I copied it, with the credit card slip for the total amount spent there, and not had any queries so assume it's OK.

Well, by the looks of it i shall have problems. When i was there the card reader wasn't working. My payment was taken manually.

All it says are my credit card details and the amount spent. No name, reciept number, cost explanation NOTHING.

Bet there gonna like that lol I shall argue the toss if they say anything. I don't see how it's my problem in the slightest.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
