Why not buy a phone and go on giffgaff? Top up £10 a month, trade it for a 'goodybag' of 100 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited web. No credit checks as you can't go over your allowance0

thanks for the reply i have considered this but for a good phone it seems i would be paying alot more than if i got it on contract:beer:0

Try Virgin (clicky). They piggyback the T-Mobile signal, but have their own credit requirements. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0

First you should check your credit file - if it doesn't look good to you, it won't look good to them. The same applies to your credit score! If your credit file is okay but not brilliant, you could try for a sim-only deal. My sister had one single CCJ on her credit file and she was refused a sim-only contract by Vodafone, however T-Mobile gave her a sim-only deal without any hassle. As for getting a contract with a phone, unless you have a good credit file and credit score I really wouldn't bother.thanks for the reply i have considered this but for a good phone it seems i would be paying alot more than if i got it on contract:beer:
One last thing - avoid applying to several networks in a short period of time. Every time you apply they search your credit file and that search is registered on your credit file. Just think how it looks to future searchers if you applied to 4 different networks in a month!
