you might be better off asking at somewhere likehttp://www.holidaytruths.co.uk
It's about 35e from Palma Airport to Santa Ponsa so £107 seems expensive
How many of you are there?
Have you tried resorthoppa, travelrepublic etc?
Thomson and Thomas Cook also allow you to use their transfer coaches for a fee0 -
tried the ones you suggested, but they are slightly dearer.
there are 2 adults 2 children and 1 infant, would rather get a taxi.i have asked on the website you suggested

€35 for a taxi seems about right. There are plenty of taxis around so I'm not sure I would even bother pre-booking it.0

as there are 5 of us it would be 2 taxis or a 8 seater0 -
By coincidence we were looking at http://www.shuttledirect.com/en/php/airport_shuttle_direct.php yesterday. Places on a shuttlebus for 3 worked out at £35 one way for us. A quick test suggests you might be able to do it one way for £41. Haven't checked return prices.
Edit: But read this first: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews174320.html0 -

i had looked at them, but as i have 3 young children, plus the fact we don't land till late, taxi would be better as it would get us there quicker.thanks for the info anyway.

I hadn't realised, scotty, but you can book those shuttledirect transfers via the Ryanair website. That sort of lends a degree of official Ryanair recommendation to the equation (take that as you will!). It would indicate to me that the reliability aspect at least must be improved beyond some of the complaints in that review webpage I found.
I don't know how many seats their shuttlebus has, and I know you have an infant with you, but you might find that it is as easy a transfer as any other than a private taxi. And you might get lucky and find you have it to yourselves most of the way. Their route looks fairly direct, but of course depends how many seats on the bus / how many stops.
I am lucky in that I don't have to look any more as I have found out that friends who will already be in Majorca when we arrive have hired a car locally so they will now pick us up.0
