    I think it's important to talk it through now and make sure that you are both aware of what the other expects and what you both expect and want. People can have vastly different ideas about money.

    If you earn roughly the same, I would have thought half and half sounds fair with him paying for his children's stuff and holidays and you paying for yours.

    in our house holidays are worked on a 'give what you can give' basis. we have a saving account and each month pop money into it for fun money. If 1 month i gove £100 and oh gives £10 thats fine as it all evens itself out. If when we come to book a holiday we dont have enough then we either re-budget or dont go! Days out, i cnat remember the last time we paid for one..we are off to legoland tomorrow with tesco vouchers and went to an amusement park last week..again on tesco vouchers :)
