Try widening your search area, have you tried edgeley, the nicer parts are ten mins walk from the station and/or main bus route to manchester, theres loads for sale in this area mostly 2 bed semis or terraces most under £120k, and most sell for about the £105k mark.

I much prefer here to were i used to live in cheadle as everything you need is right on your doorstep, ive just sold mine here but am staying in the area just moving up the ladder so to speak.

    Hope that helps

Another option is West Didsbury - prices a little cheaper than in Didsbury proper? Or even Burnage (parts of...)

Have you considered Heald Green? You can go straight down Kingsway and with no traffic its less than 10mins to the parrs wood junction in the mornings, though Im not sure.

I think you can still park for free at HG station, if I was in the market for buying in this area, I know I coud do a lot worse than
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-26409160.html The train is HG, gatley, parrs wood, burnage, Mcr Piccadily, quick on the train. Theres also the fast train which is airport HG, MCr Picc.

Close enough to HG facilities, sainsburys/John lewis, Lakeland (:D) and handforth, not too far into wilmslow either along the bypass for facilities there. Close to the airport for a quick getaway :D

This area is VVVVV quiet, my parents live just around the corner :D the nearest you get to ASB is someone mowing thier lawn at 8am on a sunday.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
