Using own (contract) SIM in new PAYG phone?
Is it possible to buy a new PAYG phone and put my own (contract) SIM in it? I signed up for a 24 month contract with O2 and stupidly accepted a rubbish phone because they "didn't have" the one I wanted when I needed to renew contract. They won't even let me pay to upgrade phone until renewal. I'd like to but my own phone then tell them I don't need new phone at renewal and get credit. But will it work? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Any O2 payg phone will work fine, also any 'sim free' or 'unlocked' phone will work.
Any O2 payg will work for everything. If its not an O2 phone you'll need to get setting for things like MMS/Internet etc. O2 CS can usually text these to the phone for you.0 -
O2 have different settings for prepay (PAYG) and postpay (contract), but if you text ACTIVE to 2020 once you've put your contract sim in the PAYG phone, they'll send you the contract wap and mms settings.0
