dried fruit, cheese, other high calorie but natural foods- kids can withstand a lot more fat in their diet than us- if they are a good eater then that's a fantastic start.:D Well done!

Bigger portions can help too. Rice cakes would be the first to have a bit of mashed bananas,or cheese,or even fruit puree added to them.

my youngest is 20mths & will eat nearly evthg u give him. he refuses nuggets, burgers & such unlike the other 2!!!

I cook some pasta, drain the water then add some passata, some tuna & some sweetcorn, a sprinkle of mixed herbs and heat it through, he absolutely loves it & he can feed himself aswell.

At that age my youngest sons fave was pasta. With either tomato soup (or some other soup) just enough to stir through it, or grated cheese.

I made my own baby foods a lot when they were little and froze it in small pots, I actually miss making them, used to have loads of fun getting him to try new things.

I would maybe stick with the bigger meal at lunch if she is a hungry baby and offer a snack before bed or her hungry time will be mid afternoon and in my experience that makes them REALLY grumpy.

Raisins and dried fruit are great snacks, I always have those in.
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • tbh i think the amount of sugar in a homemade banana bread is very little when u give them a little slice at a time
Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts
