My partner is currently on Incapacity Benefit and he was due to be sent the IB50 form for a review in June 2010 - he hasn't received that form yet - do they often get delayed?? Thanks

I only have one experience of this, my son's incapacity benefit claim, and his review was three months later than planned.

They sometimes change the dates for no reason and without letting you know. An IB50 will turn up sooner or later.

Same here, mine was due for review in May and I haven't received anything. I was wondering if it was because of the changes they are making to benefits.

Did you hear, ie get a letter, to say that your benefits would continue? That means you've passed the PCA without a medical, and your review date will be on that letter.

Cant remeber getting a letter saying a review date lol. I just got the letter after that informing me that my payment day was changing from tuesday to thursday (great fun as we used to get everything on a tuesday, my ib, ctc, sons dla, my hubbys wages) now its staggered 3 days over the week lol

i have been on incapacity benefit for 20 years now and have never had a delay in the ib50 form. If you do have a delay phone the benefit people up and insist that the form is sent too you as soon as possible as with everthing going on with benefits right now you just don't know what will happen.
I wish you the best of luck.

they could be trying a flanker, and bypassing IB for people who would be expected to get long intervals between review dates.
IE when ESA starts properly at the begining of next year, you and myself may be some of the first people to get assesed
I was due to get reviewed last may and still have not heard anything. yet I am going to give them untill early November and then i am going to get my solicitor to send them a letter saying i want to be reviewed under IB rules,i doubt it will do much good but, hay ho! i am certain they will say something like i have been reviewed but the letter must have got lost..etc.
Trouble is the time in between reviews periods for myself has been 5 years in the past.

I was due to be reviewed last August and have heard nothing. I assumed it was a policy similar to you suggest, ie. they are holding off reviews until the migration to ESA process is agreed and will review at that point instead.
