Lager on car carpet.

Options
Hi Everybody,

Could someone help me.

Had some cans of Lager in my car. Left them on back floor of the car.

Unfortunately two of the cans burst in the heat of the day. Forgot I had left them there.

Two things. How do I get the lager out of the carpet.

Second , how do I get rid of the smell. It's just like a brewery in the car. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Cheap and easy solutions please.

Thanks Robin

  • I'd say the cheapest and easiest solution is to let time take care of it. When
it dries, the smell should disappear within a few days. Any stain (and this depends on whatever the carpet colour is) can belooked at separately. Use a deo device to smother the smell in the interim.

    Thanks crossleydd42,

    I will follow your advice.

Not to worried about stain, as carpet is a mottled dark grey, anyway there's a car mat that mainly goes over the section affected.

It's just I did not want to have a car lager smell for ever!!

Your Idea of a deo smelly thig has been duly taken up. Now smells nice in there now. :happyhear

I can know get pulled over by the police without having to explain the Lager smell!! ;):D

    Thanks again

id scrub at it with a solution of hot water and soda crystals

then when its dry sprinkle over bicarb of soda, leave for as long as you can and then vacuum off,it should neutralise the whiff :)
