I've been huffing and puffing about which digital camera to buy for ages now.
I've finally just bought one of these from Comet. Reserved to collect fom my local store today.
Was £99.99, with promo code (available at Comet website) got £10 off. So £89.99 for a very cool camera.0 -

Thanks for posting your find. Can I ask where you found the promo code on the comet site? I can't find it."No matter how little money and how few possesions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin0 -
I hated the W50, W100 range from Sony.
Every single person who tried my camera got blurred images. It was horrible.
Even fiddled around with settings, but still got the problem. You will have to hold this incredibly still. And myself and mates are in our 20's, so its not like we should have problems holding it steady.
Went back to the Sony W7 in the end, and always achieve much better results.
I would advise checking the pics quickly so you can return the camera if you obtain the same results. You cant see it so obviously from the LCD, but when you get back from a trip you may find your prized pics are useless

I have this in the black version, fab camera, I'm a point and shooter and it takes great photos.0

me too. I bought this for my dad just before christmas....trust me if he can take photos with this *anyone* can!
He took it to India and took hundreds of photos - all near perfect. I'd recommend it.

Which is the better camera....the dc500 or the one in the OP?"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

Perhaps I had a dodgy camera then. But it was terrible
And I was seriously upset because my other Sony's had been great. Be nice0
