No it doesn't from what i have seen.It takes the Duo format memory stick:o .

True about the entry and mid range cubershots, the top models such as the R series take standard Memory stick and Compact Flash too.

www.sony.co.uk has all the info about the memory they take.

It's not in stock at Dixons though. Probably Dixons' cynical attempts at driving traffic to their site from Pricerunner because I haven't seen them have stock at this price.

I've got the w-70 which afaik is identical bar a slightly higher resolution. Sfsg, it's a great little camera and the battery lasted a whole month in India! For the price given I'd say it was well worth a look. And yes, it only takes duo.

http://www.dpinterface.com/reviews/sony-cybershot-w70/index.html has a helpful table comparing the cameras in the W-series. I think general consensus is that there isn't much of a jump W50 to W70 (or even W100).
