If anything I need to get rid of PJs, we have so many pairs I can hardly close the PJ drawer! I must resist buying any more...I'm a bit of a PJ addict!

A relative of mine is on Facebook wittering on about her new house and looking forward to doing some renovations and buying a new kitchen and bathroom...I'm pretty certain she's in masses of debt (she's just bought a brand new car as well!) but I can't help buy be a teensy bit envious about the house purchase. Ho hum!

Realised lots of freinds on fb and other mums forums just like to brag its all done for show so i try and not get too envious.

lindsy lou my fil died last year and motherinlaws high maintainance.
Today he had to be at her house for 11am to get to dental appointment at 12.30 10mins drive from her house.
Of course they got there way to early then there was delay then he had to wait, take her home and do chores shes an irrational worrier.

Anyway hubby got home and was like ahh its a mad house here what you been up to like it was nothing.

sold baby activity station-man came round to collect
    made flapjacks with kids
    hoovered lounge
    washing
    made beds
refereed constant rows and screaming between 12year old and 4year old.
got baby to9 sleep elder 2woke her up result tired grumpy baby.
    Booked sons tition session

I said to him wish i could drive even taking mil to dentist better than my morning.

We were meant to go to new park we never been to about 20min drive but hubby cant be bothered hes so tired wants to go lpocal park where we took them yesterday which bores them why i try and rotate parks.

Anyway i said fine got kids on their bikes, baby dressed and in buggy and sent him on his way god help him he can see how hard 3kids are to manage when out by himself as feeling bit unappreciated today:o

for some reason good food mag rang me have no idea why.
thourght maybe won somethintg but dont think so haven t done comps in ages quite unlucky.

My nans pantry was bigger than our 3rd box room.
when I was 9 we rented a older style council house off private landord for 6months was huge and kitchen had a pantry with lots of shelves size of small cupboard was great think it was 1950,60s build so guess standard in those days.
I must admit dont know anyone with pantry anymore maybe they keep stuff in utility room.
My mil has large kicthen for one and stockpiles but no pantry she has several plastic baskets on top of all cupboards.

we stuggling on our tiny kitchen only have one cupboards pots and pans and they bursing out every time open door and 2cupboards for grocery.
we have huge fridge and chest freezer both take up too much space but need.
Cereal goes ontop of cupboards and fruit and veg in seperate bowls on workspace.

I need to stockpile but unsure where.

The cupbaord of doom under stairs in lounge diner is already bursting with buggy, toys and stuff to sell at carboots.

Right off round corner shop by myself for change will be bliss, think I need to get out more:rotfl:find some mundane tasks exiting.
Do hope hubbys not suffering too much.

Yeah mum's is an early 50s council house (but now bought from the council) all three bedrooms are also bigger than the bedrooms in our house but there are only the two of us so I shouldn't complain!! We clearly just have too much stuff ;)

I hope your husband comes back from taking the kids out appreciating the hard work you do!

The cottage we live in is short on storage, but in the hall there was a cupboard I think had at one time been used for coats. DS2 put shelves in it for me and the wine rack fitted perfectly, the jam maker fits in on the floor, the thermos flasks at the side. Brilliant.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • I had to fight for my pantry. Neither the builder or DH could see why I needed it when we were renovating this house. The same with the coat cupboards in the hall. However, DH has now come round to the coat cupboards as we can fit so much in. The pantry is full of jam.

Just got the Tesco vouchers today so used them to stock a snow cupboard on the top shelf of the pantry. That's all the space I have but I am presuming that we will already have a freezer full and it's just if we run out of loo roll or firelighters that we'll be stuck.

Love reading all the texts. Apologies for lurking but thank you all.

...."winter is going to be worse" thread....
I'm a bit out of the loop & would really appreciate a map to find this thread please :p Me muvva is becoming increasingly dependent on me & I'm spending more & more time with her, but she doesn't have a poota :o
So! I am looking for opinions as to investing in a lap-top or a pooty-type phone--which would be the better choice for allowing me to continue to

I've been wondering where you were....:)

Mine's a vote for a laptop for you.

I've got the full-size setup myself - after my deliberations in t'past on this.

I think the phones lead to not getting full screens don't they? - and I suspect they cause what the person types to come over in disjointed phrases - rather than the "smooth" text of someone using a "proper" computer IYSWIM.

Anyways - double duty - you could watch a DVD all the better on a laptop anyway - bigger screen to do so:D

gailey never heard of fabric land will have a look into it. I have a dunhelm mills close by if OH takes me in the car. The stall i go ot normally sells thick material for a £1 a metre. We have one like that too, but sadly it closed down. Used to love looking in there, but at one we costed up for one window alone would cost £300 . We never bought any from there as you can tell. Its great your getting extra lessons for you ss, shame his mother isn't as thoughtful and caring as you.

:rotfl:katie your poor thing, i ended up buying a step ladder out of B&Q to reach mine. OH put some kitchen cupboards for his height. Not good when your dunk and trying to get at the biscuits :o.
Rummer glad to see your feeling happier. Just to let you know your not the only one and everyones here to give you as much or as little support as you want x
    brilliant buys dandy !
hi BMF was wondering where you were hiding. I would say get a laptop, but to be more mobile an iphone as they have a larger screen.

Well went to my nieces birthday party, all the kids really enjoyed themselves. As i was in cast i got to be the evil judge of the party games muhahahaha Aye yes to be allowed to be evil. By the way i personally saw both of my kids moving in musical statues and instantly shot out of the game. I was cruel to all the kids, one of nieces tried to plead to me, my answer "no you moved, your out".
Didn't manage to get into any charity shops today so going to have a mooch about tomorrow instead.
