Mattress - which to buy

Hi Tim,
I'd be interested to find out your opinion on the mattress below? A company called Relyon - "Luxury Memory Pocket Platinum 1475" Similar price to the Madrid and great reviews.
Toki, I'm not Tim, but I'm doing my reseach on mattresses now. I also liked recent Relyon range and almost placed my order, but then read horrible reviews on Relyon memory mattresses. They tend to 1. collapse quickly, 2. they are extreamly hot and sweaty and 3. worst of all, they attract MOULD! There must be something wrong with the type of memory foam they used (Reactaform), it's not ventilated properly, moisture accumulates and people often find mould between mattress and base. I don't think anyone would be willing to sleep on a moulded mattress. Try to google "reactaform mould review" or something like this.0 -
Relyon used to be a good make, but I'm afraid they are another big brand that has gone down hill in a big way as Anna1976 said.
As I have said previously, stay clear of big brands.0 -

You heard right. However you have to be very careful as many manufacturers only use a very thin layer of latex foam. And some use flashy words like zonal support, which actually means that the latex is only in areas of the mattress. Many manufacturers are also using synthetic latex, which is actually nothing like pure latex.
What you should be looking for is a mattress with full size steel pocket springs (not reflex foam encapsulated), and a full 2" deep layer of natural latex foam over the full sleeping surface (on both sides of the mattress if you can find them).0
