Flight to Boston advice please

I agree that a flight with a stopover would be a hassle on the LON-BOS route.
Typically (the past few years) have seen flights in January for that route around the £200 mark. Obviously, past guide is not a real good way to predict future airfares but it's a start and it would tempt me to hang on for a sale to come along to beat a £300 fare.
Bear in mind, just after New Year is a very cheap time to travel to that part of the US so there should be some good deals cropping up if you keep a look out.0 -
Iceland Air with a stopover in Rekyavik use to be really cheap Business Class to Boston. See the sights of Iceland while youre there.illegitimi non carborundum0

The New York to Boston drive is easy enough (it took me 3.5 hours and once out of NYC area wasn't busy) so if the £160 flights are available and you were planning to hire a car anyway it wouldn't be too bad a plan!0

But how much would it cost to hire a car? Because I'm not planning on it anyway. It may work out cheaper than the £297 to fly direct with AA but not cheap enough for the extra hassle. It also adds quite a bit of time onto the journey. This time I'm prepared to spend more for convience and fly direct from Heathrow to Boston, I just want the best price possible for that particular journey.
Thanks though.0
