Love the immediate call for compensation. Well done you.

I'd accept an apology. Just doesn't bear thinking about what could happen if it had been sent to someone with less scruples.

Sandoval, I haven't asked for compensation. I was just wondering what would happen and how they would deal with it. I have made a complaint and they have said they would investigate. The man on the phone said himself that it was a serious error and that if it were him he'd be livid. I've been quite calm! We'll see what they say tomorrow/

Yeah I believe you. Asking "am I eligible for compensation" in your first post certainly doesn't indicate that you're after compensation does it?

Well I expect an apology but I think they should be doing more than that if I'm honest which is why I asked. Would you be happy with the situation if it were you? I'm certainly not out for what I can get... I think you're being unfair to me. My first reaction certain wasn't that this could be worth something to me. My first reaction was horror that my details had been sent out to just anyone. I wish it hadn't happened but it has and yes I'd hope for some form of compensation considering I'm away to take out my mortgage with them. They stand to make a lot more money out of me that I ever could of them and I think they need to prove that they're a lender I can trust in the future and this can't happen again. But thank you for your input anyway Sandoval.

Thanks Apples... Nice to be made to feel welcome here. I'll not bother you guys again. I didn't come here for an argument. Good night.

No, you came here wanting to know if you could get compensation.

Just be up front and admit it rather than squirming and saying that you don't.
