Grrrrrr - neutral Feedback rant

But neutral feedback doesn't affect your overall percentage does it, so why so upset?. I'm not being clever, just interested.

I left my first neutral last week and I didn't contact the seller first as I didn't want to enter into extensive correspondence. The delivery had been super slow, the packaging was grubby and the postage charges (compared to the single first class stamp and re-used envelope) were highly inflated.

Why should I give a positive vote if my experience is below average - surely that is what neutral is for (if not negative)? If the seller had wanted positve feedback then she should have been realistic with postage charges, posted promptly and declared the poor condition of the packing.

BTW, this is my first neutral in 5 years so I don't do this willy-nilly.

I'm not upset about it - it hasn't affected my score, I just think that buyers should at least attempt to contact the seller before they leave anything other than positive feedback.

The last time that I had to leave a neutral feedback, the ebay steps asked me to confirm that I had contacted the seller to try and resolve the issues - which I had.

The seller (me) has not been given a chance to rectify the "issue" - it would have been just as easy for my buyer to leave me a negative, which would have affected my score, and she still hadn't contacted me.

Like I said, if she had contacted me, the least I would've done is refund the postage she paid - probably would've refunded the whole lot, but as she hasn't replied to my message, she has just gone onto my blocked bidders list...!!
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

    I've been Money Tipped!
I think anyone who recycles packaging materials is to be applauded, as long as it does what it's meant to do I can't understand people complaining about it. If a parcel turned up on my doorstep and the item was as described and not damaged, whilst I would be unhappy if I'd had to wait too long for it, as to what it was wrapped in I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Recycling packaging - no problem BUT let the postage charges reflect the savings that the recycling brings. If you're reusing something then don't charge for something you haven't needed to buy.

A lot of buyers inflate the postage to increase their profit margins.
