Big problems with SKY - this is messy

I first cancelled my sky package back in september after being with SKY for 13 years via an email, thats ok, then at the end of December i had Sky put back on (son was going to pay for it), big problems, the salesman offered me multi room 2 new sky + boxes all for £49.00 a month, great, engineer arrived only with one box and he was not informed of multi room at all, so he told me to cancel sky and someone would be in touch to find out why, no one did so i rang them to get the multi room sorted out, lady on the phone said she would cancel the collection of the box just fitted and someone would contact me, they never did so i rang back in february they said someone would contact me again, no one did, so i rang back in may (all this time with only free view viewings on the sky + box) they sorted the multi room out great and i was told i could have the HD box i told the lady i did not have HD telly but she said its ok its free, next i called to cancel within my 30 days unemployment is not great (bills came in at around £80.00 per month abit different from £49.00), i was told i had still been paying for the SKY subscription since September and i am now owing them as i cancelled my direct debit on the 1 july, they will not refund me any owing mone back to September as she says i knew the sky box was in my house, even though i cancelled sky, they told me that when i rang them in January, to talk about the multi room i had cancelled the cancellation what a load of cods wallop, i have only had viewing of the subscrition chanels in JUNE ONLY of this year she then tells me to contact a third party i think thats a solicitor any help would be apreciated hope you understand all the messy situation i am in, an still umemployed Gail. :mad: please help
