  • is there any site that displays a graph of prices against time, this would be useful as you would be able to see the trends and see how big the jumps are ect. Also is gas going up more than electric or the other way around?

There is a list here. There are no details of how much increases were, but it's a useful in a 'who has and who hasn't' sort of way.

Do these companys just think 'Lets increase our prices AGAIN by a huge amount, the poor b@stards that need heating will still pay'.

I think you are right and nobody can do a thing to stop them. We are constantly being told to shop around and switch suppliers as it will keep prices down by increasing competetiveness between them but it is not working. Instead they are just taking turns in putting rates up as much as they can.
