Npower Third Price Rise in a Year
Energy company Npower is to increase its prices for domestic customers for the third time this year.
From 1 October, gas bills will increase by 17.2% and electricity by 9.9%, the company said.
It blamed the rise on an increase in wholesale energy prices, which it said had jumped 250% since 2003 and 60% in the past year

I love this:"We are the last of the major energy suppliers to raise our prices - Npower customers pay lower prices for longer," Mr Miles added.
What he means is we delay our third price rise in the year as we know a lot of people will switch to us thinking we are the cheapest.0 -

Which is EXACTLY what I did yesterday  Been onto Energyline today to cancel, need to find another now. I wouldn't mind so much, but I switched to BG the day before their price hike announcement last month. Not very good at this lark I guess:p0 -
What tarriff do the comparsion sites display? When will the npower prices get put on the website? On the day they go live? or the day of the announcement?0

This is getting so crazy. I switched to Npower a couple of months ago. I'm wondering what the point is of switching. Because within a few months of switching it's all change again.
Do these companys just think 'Lets increase our prices AGAIN by a huge amount, the poor b@stards that need heating will still pay'.
I am sooo angry.0 -
It`s only a few weeks ago that the switching sites had Npower sign online tariff as the one to switch to, saving you hundreds of pounds.
Yet again it proves what a whole con these switching sites are.
At the moment Atlantic are coming out top for everyone to change to.
In a few weeks it`ll be someone else who`ll bring out a new deal to come top of the charts and the whole circus starts again.
The switching sites are loving it because they get £50 per switch no matter who it`s to.0 -
At least I have got 3 bottles of Champagne by mistake instead of 1 from uswitch.0

Is does include all the sign online tariffs as they have only recently been put up in the last month or so.0
