Santander transferring ISAs

Although Santander seems to be a good buy for ISAs and even transferring old ISAs offer good interest rates.
The problem is getting transfers completed. Although we did the paperwork through our local branch (Milton Keynes) they cocked it up and now refuse to help rectify it. So we are bouncing back and forth between phone and post. This has been going on since April – Anybody else experiencing problems?
PS. I like the photocopied form stuck on tiller’s glass partition: “Please remember, we are here to help” – or wording to that extent!:rotfl:

I've had similar problems, going direct to their complaints dept, and saying I'm only talking to you because I have to before the FSA will accept my complaint, worked for me.
This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !

I tried transferring my cash ISA into Santander but after weeks of waiting I assumed they had lost the form. I gave up and dropped into my local Northern Rock and did the transfer there. I even got offered a cup of lovely coffee and the staff could not have been more helpful.
  • I tried paying money into isa today but they wont take a cheque over the counter cos it is direct isa. They said pay it in at the ATM. This means cheque takes an extra day to clear. Tried that but the machine was not accepting deposits, tried another and same thing. They claim they cannot take cheque over the counter at all even though no queue in the branch.

So basically was tough you cannot pay it in today! The cashiers even pay the cheques into your account when they open the damn envelopes anyway each morning. Another example of how garbage spamtander are.
