Help! Have painted straight over plaster with normal ceiling paint

Hi, just had our loft plastered. The plasterer said it would be OK to paint the plaster once it was dried to a pinky colour so we did this - BUT we just painted over it with normal ceiling paint....
I now gather this was wrong. What do we do now????

Nothing. That's all I did and it's been completely fine.
Some recommend using a watered down first coat, but if it's OK, leave ir.0 -
The only reason for using a plastering base coat/ water down paint is that the plaster will absorb more of the paint and reduce the coverage nothing wrong with just using normally paint just your paint wont go as far.0

Did you use the paint straight from the can?
Have you finished all your coats?
If you have finished painting the ceiling and it hasnt peeled or lifted off the plaster, then it might be okay for now, but when you come to repaint in the future, and if you use straight from the can again, it will definately peel.
The paint hasnt sealed and penetrated into the plaster, so when you come to repaint in the future, dont use straight from the can, water it down by about 25% for the first coat, this might stop it from peeling and lifting.0 -

Thanks for all the help. It looks a little blotchy so I guess we will do some more coats with watered-down paint. Thanks!0
