Grrr ... have just measured up for it and it won't fit in his room because of his slopy ceiling  I'm really disappointed, that would have been great for him :(

  • Benben I wonder how much it would be to get a joiner to build a custom fitted one?

I did wonder that but I think it would be way too expensive, I'm now looking at this one ...

My ds had something similar when h e was younger and in the end we got rid of it as when he got bigger he use to hit his head on the ceiling! plus like you say changing the sheets is a pain and also if they are not well and you want to check on them you have to climb up to check. But they are great for storage etc in a small room.

Thats why the second one appeals F.Cat, still able to sit on the bed to read a story together and can change the bedding easily enough. Think I will ponder on that one tonight, don't know whether to wait for a better offer to come up on it or just get it ordered? I have looked at it before, don't think the price changes dramatically. I will ask Mum if she has a spare single mattress though and hopefully will only need to order the frame. If not, I will order the better mattress, not worth going for the cheapy one usually.

Back from Mums, had a lovely day, great roast dinner, lots of sunshine, kids had fun, good times all round :) One more day of the holidays left, I have really not tried hard (today especially) with WW for the last few weeks, always find it harder in the holidays too, so starting tomorrow I am back on it with a vengeance ;) Now that the bikes are fixed I'm hoping w can get out and about on them more often too. Next weekend ds is at his dads for a couple of nights so I intend to get some proper exercise in. I also need to start building in an awful lot more walking into our daily routine again, good for the weightloss and good for the petrol budget too :D

Kitchen clean and tidy, floor cleaned too :)
Have checked the two insurances and have a couple of months yet for
    each so no rush there.

Am in bed now, have a bit of a headache, too much sun today I think. Tomorrow I hope to get a few more bits crossed off the list; we're planning on going out on the bikes in the morning, then a lazy indoor afternoon, the Tescos shop should come between 4-6pm, tackle ds bedroom a bit and get a few more jobs done before baths and getting back into the school routine :o

Morning all, last day of the holidays and the sun is still shining, it truly has been an amazing couple of weeks off :) I am doing bits and pieces til 9 then will decide on where we're going today. So far I have stripped and remade the beds, now about to tackle the bathroom, which actually isn't too bad so should only take 5 minutes :) I want everywhere (except ds room) tidy and clean before we go out, then this afternoon I can concentrate on his room and clearing some more bits off the list ;)

Have a lovely day BB and DS. We went to Queen Elizabeth country park yesterday as my pass covers the parking. It was very hilly!! Had a lovely walk and picnic, I loved it.

Your day sounds lovely, it's the simple things in life I think that make us truly happy :D:D

    how's things with Crouchy?
