Just had a message from him to say he needed to be honest with me ... he partly suggested meeting as friends as he's seen someone else a couple of times and wants to make a go of it with them  He said he was surprised how well we got on and would like to remain friends. Bloody men, I hate 'em!

Winker
I hate it when they do that.......it's happened to me in the past as well. What could probably happen is that in a few weeks he'll be in touch when he's worked it the other person isn't as lovely as you, and will try to see if you're still free! They treat it like a flipping Argos catalogue.......grrr.
Never mind, you live and learn.....and I hope the next chap is far, far, nicer and honest and not messing anyone around. After all, i wonder what his other ladyfriend would say if she knew he was meeting girls "just as friends"???
Big hugs x0 -
Thankyou KK, the insecure part of me can't help wondering whether he just didn't fancy me and this is a polite way of saying so? Either way I guess it does't matter
Can't believe I'm so p***ed off about it, only met the guy once! Never mind, have eaten a belgian bun and thats helping although it won't help at WW weigh-in tonight

Aww benben - what a shame - his loss. I suppose he has at least come clean now and not strung you along any further. Typical male -can't resist another stroke to his ego if he gets the chance
BIG hugs honey and remember there is someone out there who is just right for you and will be worth waiting for. :kisses3:Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -

I know its not the done thing, but I messaged him again asking for a bit more feedback to help in my search for Mr Right
and he sent a lovely reply saying he can't believe I'm single, thought I was very interesting and attractive, very easy to talk to, definitely not a case of him choosing the other one over me (but surely it is??
), but the other one is an old friend he's known for years and its suddenly changed from that and he wasn't expecting it to.
Suppose it makes me feel a tiny bit better but overall I feel pretty cr*p today
