I've been giving a lot of thought to the money I was left from my Nan. I have decided to do the following with it ...
£100 - already spent on Microsoft Office, RAC membership, ds's new boots and last nights new year spends.
£100 - budgeted to get my hair cut / highlighted and to buy ds a Bible. My great-grandmother bought one for me and mum has said that my nan had talked about buying her great-grandchildren one each (but didn't get round to it), so I thought it might be nice to get him one as something to keep from her.
£500 - mortgage overpayment ... Part of me feels this is not what I should be doing with the money, however, my nan was very sensible with money and am sure she would approve, and also it is such a big part of my long-term plan to clear the mortgage to enable us to move to a house with a garden and am sure she would agree with that too.
The remaining £300 will stay in my savings account for the future, if theres something I need it for or once I think of something to buy (like ds bible) that will be an appropriate keepsake from her money.
Does this sound like a sensible plan??Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Sounds good benben - some good buys, some saved for a rainy day and a head start to your mortgage reduction target for 2011 to give you a shot in the arm!
All the best for a good New Year, and I promise to post a bit more often - I read here every day!!
GQ xxIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Its at the dry ski slope and you sit in a big inflatable rubber ring and go hurtling down the ski slope
Its fabulous fun and they spin you too so you get nice and dizzy on the way down, and the walking back up is wonderful exercise
