1571 is free to hear your message, but you are charged if you press to return the call.
hang up and dial manually during your free period.

It's only 'free' if you make 2 or more chargeable or inclusive calls per month on BT, otherwise, BT charge £1/month for it.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. I've made calls during the weekend so isn't that "inclusive"?

As long as they weren't freephone calls, yes.

No. But the argument why not verges on the estoteric side so we won't go into it.

You've made 10 chargeable calls. Something else could be going on here if the charge is more than 0p.

You could say what is meant by a chargeable call and an inclusive call but imparting information and participating in this forum on a significant basis is not part of your agenda.

Just got off the phone from speaking to someone in India. I've been told that as I'm on the "Unlimited Weekend" plan that I have to make at least 2 "chargeable" calls per month otherwise I will incur a £1.00 charge. The person I spoke to apologised for the confusion over the wording on my bill - told me to ignore the word "inclusive" as it didn't really mean that!!!!!!!!! As a goodwill gesture they will refund the £1.00 charge on this occasion. Really bizarre!!
