Best currency to use in Antalya and Lara Beach, Turkey?

Hi all, im in need of some advise. I'm going to Antalya and Lara Beach, Turkey in about a month and i'm not sure which currency to use.

take sterling and exchange or use it there...often transfer operators prefer to be paid in gb pounds..i go 4 or 5 times per year and always have to pay for my hire car in pounds..bars will always except pounds and even exchange them for you and you always get the best rates localy....basicly a lot of bar owners save thier cash in sterling then wait for the rates to go up normaly at the end of the season then change it all to lira ytl0
