"upgrade" or "transfer" from T-Mobile to 3rd party T-Mobile

Options
I hope this makes sense.
I am currently with T-Mobile and at the end of my contract, I want to upgrade but T-Mobile don't do any phones that I like.

I've found a couple of good deals with 3rd party suppliers (Carphone Warehouse, Nokia, etc) and want to upgrade, keeping my number. However due to various signal and technical reasons I have to stick to T-Mobile.

Is there any way of me upgrading via these companies or alternatively transferring my number, as I'm a bit confused as to how it would work as they won't just let me upgrade my number and PAC codes have to be between networks I've been told.

Thanks

Obtain free PAYG sim- PAC in then PAC out I guess. Makes a mockery of the system but it might work!

I think this might be the way forward! In theory it should work - if I do it I'll go for a 30 day SIM contract. Just a bit of a pain!
