  • Like you i was ripped off by these' SPAM' crooks,it took 2 months of perseverence and haggling with them to get my money back. My bank did sect 75. Like you i notified all the right authoritites Trading Standards, Consumer Direct. Watchdog etc, although they all listened, took details, etc; still this SPAM is allowed to continue in their trading tactics. This Company is also connected to 'Yes Loans' and 'Benefical Loan. These co's have been trading for years like this it is a disgrace.!!!

  • We fight any claim called me. Said I wasn't interested, the woman I spoke with was very pushy. Told her again I wasn't interested and asked for my number to be removed from their records. She REFUSED to do this so I repeated my request again and said I would report them to the Telephone Preference Service if they did not remove my number and she continued to refuse. I asked to speak to a manager and she hung up on me.

I called them back explained I wanted to complain and was told all complaints must be done in writing. I refused to get off the phone until I spoke with a Manager. Eventually I spoke to a supervisor who was very helpful and said my request should have been actioned at the first request. He was off to listen to the call recording and said he would take the appropriate action once he had listened to it. Doubt they will do anything though. Anyway he assured me that the number would be removed from their records within 24 hours. We will wait and see

Top Tip - Just put the flippin pone down when they call

Money saving tip - NEVER ring them back to complain, it's costing you money for the call and making them even more profit.

charge them a £100 administration fee, then refuse their offer with "the admistration fee is non refundable regardless of the outcome of the decision made"
    Owed out = lots.
  • I wish to make you all aware of my stupidity in order to protect equally stupid people! I was approached by the company last July (2010). They had 2 agents knock the door and ask if I had loans etc. I said yes, and they gave me a ball park figure of £9000 that I could get back! I was then contacted the next day by the office to say that they could get back some monies that I had paid out in PPI! This is the stupid part...... I paid them £2500 using one of the cards that I had PPI on!!!
I was practically assurred that I would have my PPI back in 3 months.

Yep..... £2,500.... last July...... and I have received....... zip!

This company are local to my area. They state that they are endorsed by a world champion boxer.... I strongly doubt it now.

Dispite speaking to the F.O.S and one of the credit card companies, also the Claims Management Regulation company ( see above posts for address; I am in serious financial difficulties, as a result of this foolish transaction.......

Please heed my words, and avoid WE FIGHT ANY CLAIM as if it were a rabid squirrel!

  • 01633 712759 is a landline number you can call them on, to avoid the 0844 number taking up 10 mins each on your phone bill.......handy tip to save more pennies!

Am I too suspicious but all the poster who have lost are all 1st time posters. If wrong please accept apologies.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

If anyone can give me any advice regarding We Fight Any Claim I'd be really grateful.

My mum signed up with them last year, and paid them quite a lot of money as I understand it. She's not very good with money and to be honest, not 100% there so their bullying tactics and wild claims got to her. She was convinced she'd be getting thousands back, and when she told me about it, she didn't mention the company (and I didn't ask) so although I was suspicious, she reassured me.

Anyway, I'm now living with her, and have seen their info pack in her living room. A quick Google search has led me to loads of negative feedback on them (as well as this forum) and I'm extremely worried. They took money out of her account - by card payment, because she gave them her details the first time - three times, despite telling her it would only be once, and no progress has been made on her claim. She's changed her card details now so they can't take any more money without her permission. I convinced her to call them to find out was going on, and had a sneaking suspicious that a refund would be out of the question, so I told her to just ask to cancel the service to avoid them taking any more money from her. She was referred to a very rude "manager" who told her that they she had given her consent to pay the upfront fee in three instalments, although she has no recollection of this and was shocked when she checked her account to see they'd done that. They also told her that progress had been made on her claim and they had secured her a refund from two of her creditors (not citing an amount) but they were just waiting for confirmation from one more creditor and to cancel at this stage would cost her £200 (or something like that anyway). They also said that one more payment for legal fees was due to be paid but they'd contact her before they took it.

This conversation took place about two months ago, and although I know she should have been pursuing them, she hasn't been, but they haven't been in touch with her either. In fact, I don't think they've been in touch with her at all since they took her money.

She isn't fully in possession of her facilities, as I said, and is on long-term-sick for mental health issues - this, combined with the fact that she got excited about the vast sums they promised her has obviously caused her to sign something she didn't read or didn't understand properly. She is embarrassed about this and hasn't shown me the contract or anything like that, so I don't know if taking all the money and demanding a cancellation fee/extra legal fees are within the company's rights or now.

I'm very concerned about this, as the money she has lost so far and stands to lose again if they demand she pays them a further amount, is far more than she can afford. If any of you have any experience with this company or advice for what I could possibly do next to help her, it would be really appreciated. It should be noted that pretty much anything that has to be done would have to done either by me or with me there as she's pretty much useless when alone (but I love her for it and wouldn't swap her!)

    Thanks in advance :)
  • ok here is the address of a reallyI useful place. they are really helpful and sympathetic. They will listen and advise.

    Claims Management Regulation
    Monitoring and Compliance Unit
    57 – 60 High Street
    Burton–upon–Trent
    Staffordshire
    DE14 1JS
    Telephone: 0845 450 6858 / 01283 233309
    Fax: 0845 450 6866 / 01283

Contact your credit card too. send them copies of everything that this bunch have sent you......fill them in with the details.... it may be embaressing, but they understand that this kind of thing happens.... it happened to me....

WE fight any claim, are required by the minisrty of justice to record ALL phone calls. That is one of their prinipal requirements from the ministry. I have confirmed this over the telephone. Also the selling tactics of the PPI claiming-back thing is also highly questionable. I spoke to one guy in the Claim Management Regulation place. He informed me that We Fight Any Claim had broken their code of professional conduct, when the 2 agents knocked my door (cold calling)

The other thing to do is to use 141 on you landline phone and ring the 01633 number above..... dont be suprised if you get an office temp say "hello" rather than the usual scripted schpeel. This is a direct number to the inside of their office...... just ask to be transferred to a claims handler.......

    Be persistant with these cowboys....

I had the legal team guy state that We Fight Any Claim had not performed what I agreed for them to do.... this was all on recorded call.....catch them off guard, and they cant refer to their scripts!

good luck... you owe me a pint if you get it back before I get mine!
