Thanks Edinburghlass. That was a combination of keys I hadn't tried! The helpline number is on the box but it was too late last night to call them. Anyway, usually I find these forums much better for advice than most 'help'lines anyway
There are just a couple of other things that I would appreciate help on. In the TAD menu there is a Filterin option. What does that do? And secondly, is there any way of sharing the Phone Book with all of the handsets or do you have to manually input the numbers into each one?0 -
Okay, call filtering....
Call filtering will not work if the room monitor function is on, see page 59 for room monitor
When the answering machine is switched on you can use call filtering to determine how imcoming calls are received.
Off, no call filtering set. Calls will be picked up by the answering machine as normal.
SPK FILT All calls are filtered directly to handset 1. When you receive an incoming call you will hear your OGM paly and the caller leaving their message through the handset speaker. If you have other handsets registered to your base they will not be able to take the call.
FUL FILT All calls are filtered directly to the answering machine where your caller can leave a message. The handsets will not ring. Emergency calls with full filter.... You can give certain callers a code which they can use to break through full filtering if the call is important or in an emergency. When the caller hears your OGM they should press * and then enter the SOS code. The base will then ring for 8 seconds to notify you that someone has broken through the filtering and needs to speak to you urgently. The pre-set SOS is 111.
CID FILT 1 For this option to work you will need to subscribe to a caller display. All calls are filtered directly to your answering machine except calls from one number that you have preselected from the phonebook. So if you are waiting for an important call from a certain number but do not want to be disturbed by other callers your programmed number will trigger the handset to ring but all other calls will be automatically directed to the answering machine with out your handset ringing.
CID FILT 2 All calls will trigger your handset to ring with the exception of one preselected number from the phonebook. This option is the opposite of CID FILT 1. If you do not want to receive calls from a certain number this option will filter calls from this number directly to your answering machine with your phone ringing. Calls from all other numbers will ring through to your handset in the normal way. still with me :rotfl:
Press Menu to access the main menu
Press Menu or CID until TAD MENU is displayed
Press OK to access the answering machine menu
Press Nenue or CID to display FILTERIN
Press OK the display shows the current filtering setting.
Press Menu or CID to display the filtering option you want
With the option you want displayed, press OK to confirm
If you select CID FIL 1 or 2 the display will show the first phonebook number, use Menu or CID to display the number you want to filter
Press and hold C/Mute to exit and return to standby
As far as I can see each phone has its own phonebook so you need to enter and/or delete each entry on each phone.0 -
Thanks for all that Edinburghlass. It certainly clarifies the Answer Machine functions.0
