I have heard of an energy assessor doing EPC's for £25. It doesnt take 2 years to qualify, its takes around 7 days and costs around £850.
It could be a money earner if you can handle 10 a day at that sort of rate.0 -

Even then, 10 a day = £250 factor in travel expenses and tax marketing + advertising costs etc..
I reckon that would put an energy assessor at about £30k pa hmm, maybe not so bad?0 -
my ecp cost £50 (no Vat) - the guy said that he does them for most of the agents but my agent was the only one that didn't add a mark up, and as soon as the agent added their mark up they had to add vat on the price.
One local agent wanted £100 + Vat0 -

You are assuming the market can supply you with 10 a day for a year.
I suspect the reality is significantly less, not least given how many jumped on the get-rich-quick/make-money-for-nothing EPC assessor bandwagon.

Oh of course. I guess the only people making money from it are the energy assessors association for selling the 'training courses'
Where people essentially get trained to look about in a house lol0
