Since you didn't directly buy it, I think there's little you can do. You won't even have proof or purchase to allow you to ask Jessops for an exchange or similar.

In hindsight, it would have been wise to test one out in store before agreeing to the replacement.

Best I can recommend is to contact the insurance company and ask if they can offer anything. I'm afraid AFAIK you're reliant on their good will.

    Willdo...appreciated all Thank You.

Thanks.... I wish I had bought a used g9. Bit of advice ...dont get a G11, its like a toy and weighs the same as a feather.

The G11 weighs 355g, both the G7 and G9 weigh only 320g - both figures are without batteries.

well all I can say is that it must be heavy battery (it IS a bigger battery), or the weight distribution is wrong somewhere, as it feels MUCH lighter than my G7 was.
The grip seems wrong and the shutter button seems to be more to the right, meaning that you have to crane your finger backward when gripping, its not easy to hold in one hand and click. The *heavy* side of the camera seems to weigh it down.

But as I said in my earlier post, this is all subjective and is my opinion. I have loved my G7 and I am so disapointed with this G11. Go and try one and let me know.

This 'lightweight' camera now has developed a 'heavy side' ????

NOTE *heavy* in asterix...this is to denote scarcasm.

Blimey was only asking a question, dont take it personal!
