Tuesday 13th July - what small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Gooood morning lovely people:T
Hope everyone's well and happy today. Rainy and dull here, but still warm. So no washing on for me - well that's saving elecrticity anyway;)
I must do some uni work today - I should go to the library, but can't be bothered to drive there!!(Takes about 20min)
DD2 has an optician appt in town after school so I'll take her there and then we're having a sneaky KFC - a little treat as it's just me and her this week:D
Ok, here's my list:
Have a lovely day wherever you are:j

Morning All :hello:
Cold and sunny here - as usual in July
It was SOOO cold last night, but I had a lie in this morning and will have a lazy day today
So far I have/will:
2nd load of washing on, and being line dried
15 mins done on the CT, will do another 15 mins this afternoon
Rubbed olive oil into my long hair, pinned it up as a deep conditioning treatment (the air is very dry here) and then Popeye popped home whilst I was sitting with greasy hair, red & sweaty from the CT :rotfl::rotfl: Oh boy I looked a complete !!!!!!, the bed wasn't even made :rotfl: He just laughed
Have to go and get anti-malarials this afternoon for our trip next week, they are v expensive, but cheaper than getting what poor Cheryl Tweedy has. So not a NSD
Cuttings still looking OK :j
Will knit again this evening (I stopped for a while as it was dispiriting unpicking all the time, and Popeye mocked me
)
Supper from the meal plan - shepherds pie. With a cooking tip from "cook yourself slim" put yoghurt and roast garlic into the mash instead of milk butter & cheese.
Have a great day everyone :A0 -
Morning everyone,
Nice and sunny here today but I think it's due to rain later on...

Anyway, I'll still give it a go, so here's my list for today: -- cook pork with white sauce and leeks for tea per meal planner and freeze a batch
- [STRIKE]hang out washing [/STRIKE]
- try and not spend too much money!!

Hi OliveOyl!
Anti-malarials do cost a fortune!
Last year the doctor prescribed us Malarone (not sure if I have got the spelling right there) as we were going to Costa Rica, but then I went to the nurse to get injections and she said that we didn't even need any malaria tablets in the parts were we were going and certainly not the expensive Malarone ones!! So now I have £50 worth of the stuff...and we are not going anywhere that we would need it anytime soon! Wish I could get rid of it...but obviously can't sell it on Eb4y or I look like a drug dealer!!!
