Hi there,
I am very new to this site and have been looking around. I am feeling really really unmotivated, not sure if its got something to do with pregnancy however I am also in a little rut at the moment. I have quiet a large amount of debt which i am paying but I want to address in a big way however its just me and not getting round to doing anything.
I do feel ever so lonely with it all as i have kept everything to myself as i cant be doing with further stress at the moment.

Hi OliveOyl!
Anti-malarials do cost a fortune!
Last year the doctor prescribed us Malarone (not sure if I have got the spelling right there) as we were going to Costa Rica, but then I went to the nurse to get injections and she said that we didn't even need any malaria tablets in the parts were we were going and certainly not the expensive Malarone ones!! So now I have £50 worth of the stuff...and we are not going anywhere that we would need it anytime soon! Wish I could get rid of it...but obviously can't sell it on Eb4y or I look like a drug dealer!!!
Jo
Malarin (?) ARE expensive, 22 tablets cost us over £100! (we're in a malarial area for 5 days) But I understand C.Tweedy took another sort to which the mozzies had become immune, our doctor here says that is why the stuff is expensive, it becomes obsolete and has to be changed.
And Malaria areas are very particular. There are only 3 sorts of malaria carrying mozzies (and only the female bites
) These mozzies are only around at a certain altitude, so you can be adjacent to a malaria area and safe, but a mile later be at risk. If you go to a travel clinic they should be more knowledgeable than many GP's.
I'm back in the UK Sept/Oct time, perhaps you could sell them to me? We have to get them every time we take friends to certain Game Reserves.0 -

We all have our days but this is a great thread for those little things which just keep you going. Welcome to the mad house!!
Got some bricks off freecycle now too. Been very lucky today. My car is going to be a right state by the end of the week but my garden should be better by the end of it :TDFW 228 LONG H 68

Hi OliveOyl,
Yes, that's what happened to me - my doctor advised me wrong and then went to the travel clinic and they gave me the RIGHT advice. I will know for next time!!!
I would gladly sell them to you, when I go home today I will check on the dates as I don't want to give you anything dodgy!
Thank you
Jo
