Make sure the date and time of the system are set correct. Messenger stops working if it is set wrong.

Did you install a modify or install a new firewall recently?,
iv found this as a cause for some msn not working problems. (Assuming ur account 100% active)

This says that the error code is generated because I may have tried to download third party programme.

I'm just wondering if it's my oh new phone software, it's a Samsung D600 and when we used it with the computer it said it wasn't genuine, but I carried on, Mistake huh!

I'm going to get rid of that as suggested on the site.

No it means and thrid party add on for messenger like msn plus and the like.. ask if anyone has installed any msn addons.. if so uninstall and try to get ya account unblocked.. i spose ya could try reinstalling the application and see what happens
