Moving away from Orange - What about Line 2?

I have been with Orange for many years and was generally happy, however over the past 1-2 years I felt that their service has dropped considerbaly and their prices are now some of the highest around.

So I decided to move away. I have a business account with Line 1 and Line 2 on the same handset/SIM.

I asked for PACs and I was rudley told that they can only give me 1 PAC for the 2 numbers and then "it's up to the new carrier".

Will I lose my Line 2? It's a seperate number and I have my business contacts calling it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty certain that if you cancel line 1 then line 2 will also be cancelled as well.

Re tariff prices, call up customer services and say that you are thinking of leaving them and ask them what they can offer you. Find a deal that you like and see if they can either match or beat the offer(s), or else you will be leaving them. Don't always accept the first offer they give you. you may need to haggle a bit to get more off them.

I'm sure that others have ported out their line 2 number first and then afterwards done the same with their line 1 number. Remember the Orange rule of ring three times - just keep ringing until you get someone who will help you.
